Marta Vidal Rampérez
General health psychologist expert in spine pain
Physiotherapist graduated from the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Blanquerna Foundation-Ramon Llull University (Barcelona) in 2000. Later, she specialised in Neurology and Pain and Myofascial Dysfunctions.
Already during her clinical practice she noticed the importance of treating physical problems with an approach that takes into account psychological aspects, and so she decided to study Psychology, graduating from the Universitat Ramon Llull (Barcelona) in 2003. Later, in 2008, she specialised in Clinical Psychology and Behavioural Medicine at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Since 2014 she has been a general health psychologist authorised by the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya. She has completed training in Contextual Therapies, Clinical Hypnosis and Brief Strategic Therapy. All of this with the aim of understanding how mind, body and environment are closely interrelated and influence our wellbeing and quality of life.
Faithful to this path, she studied also Acupuncture at the “EUI Sant Joan de Déu” (Universitat de Barcelona) in order to be able to perform complementary interventions to traditional medicine, with a more holistic vision.
Since 2004 she has been working as a psychologist in the field of private medicine and develops a professional activity and research in primary care centers of the Institut Català de la Salut (ICS). In this public field, he develops his activity as a physiotherapist, and in individual and group treatments of the spine, to which he introduces the cognitive-behavioral psychological intervention.
