Dr. Óscar GodinoDr. Óscar Godino graduated in Medicine from the University of Barcelona in 2002 with honours, subsequently trained as a specialist in Neurosurgery at the Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge in Barcelona, and completed his postgraduate studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Between 2007 and 2013, he completed his specific training in Neurosurgery in stays at the Hospital La Charité in Berlin and at the Schön-Klinik in Munich (Germany); and at the University of California in San Francisco (USA); and in 2017, he trained in advanced courses in highly complex surgery in Strasbourg, at Eurospine, the European spine medical society.

He is currently an associate at the Neurosurgery Department of the Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge, where he coordinates the Oncological Spine Unit, and is also a member of the Functional Spine Unit and the Multidisciplinary Pain Committee.

His career has focused on the implementation of minimally invasive techniques; he is an expert in the use of neuro navigation and in 2020 he was a founding member of the Spanish Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (SEMISS).

Dr. Óscar Godino is co-director of the Barcelona Spine Institute (BSI) – Spine Unit of Hospital QuirónSalud Barcelona and has been linked to this hospital group since 2009.
