Osteopathy in the treatment of back/spine ailments

Osteopathy consists of a set of non-invasive and manual techniques, which are used with the aim of relieving numerous ailments. Osteopathy has a more global vision of the human body, understanding it as a unit, and therefore seeks the global origin of pain or dysfunction, whether skeletal, visceral or cranial.

The incorporation of the discipline of osteopathy in the spine institute reinforces the multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of pain and physical discomfort, providing a non-invasive approach and avoiding the application of pharmacological methods.

Unlike physiotherapy, where the vision is more local and focuses on working on the affected area (lumbar, cervical, shoulder…), osteopathy has a broader diagnostic and treatment capacity. An osteopath works the entire body and will always apply manual therapy, sometimes with osteo-articular manipulation at different levels of the spine, skull or viscera to relieve referred pain, caused by other structures of our body, without being directly the area of pain the cause of this.

Osteopathy sessions are individual and are personalized based on the pathology and needs of the patient, addressing different areas of action.
