Spine surgery
Dr. Dr. Goicoechea graduated in Medicine at the University of Zaragoza in 2015 and completed a postgraduate degree in Research and Innovation in Health Sciences at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2020. A year later she specialised in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and in Ultrasound for Rehabilitation (Spanish Society of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine). Currently, she is doing her doctoral thesis in Medicine through the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
Between 2017 and 2021 he practised his speciality in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital in Barcelona and from 2021, at the Primary Care Centre of Maresme.
Dr. Goicoechea has participated in various courses and seminars such as the Theoretical-Practical Course on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound at the Colegio Mayor Olarain in San Sebastian (in the 2019 and 2020 editions); and in the 17th National Conference on Updating for Rehabilitation Doctors organised by Laboratorios Esteve (2020) in Barcelona. In 2021, he participated in the first Congress of the Spanish Multidisciplinary Pain Society, organised by the Spanish Society of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine.
Dr. Goicoechea has also developed a research activity, having presented scientific papers at various national and international congresses. In 2022 and in relation to persistent COVID in the paediatric age group, she presented the study “Impact of a Rehabilitation Programme in Long Covid Paediatric Population of Catalunya” at the 16th Congress of the International Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation held in Lisbon (Portugal).
She currently works in the Spine Unit of the Hospital Quirónsalud Barcelona (Barcelona Spine Institute – BSI) in the Rehabilitation Medicine and Complementary Therapies team.

Musculoskeletal pathology, both in adults and paediatrics, echo-guided interventionism and chronic pain management.
